About Michael Bevis
I am originally from New Orleans, La. I entered recovery from drug and alcohol abuse in 2017. I quit cigarettes in 2018. I am a survivor of Hurricane Katrina, in 2005. I am the author of the book,"And God Looked Away" which is a journal of my experiences during that time. It is available at all major booksellers online. I moved to Denver, Co. in 2019. During the Covid lockdown, I worked as a Security Guard at a library. Along the way I discovered a passion for helping others in need. I was offered a job at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in 2022 and I have served the community ever since. I love utilizing my lived experience to inspire hope, strength, and resilience in others. I am a dedicated supporter of equality and fair play in all matters.
