About Michael Bielefelt

As a Senior Art Director and proud member of the leadership team at VSP Vision’s in-house agency, I lead a powerhouse team known for its creative excellence within a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry. I bring a strategic mindset and a passion for storytelling to every project, guiding multidisciplinary design teams to deliver compelling, high-impact creative that meets business goals and stands out in the marketplace. With a deep understanding of customer, member, client, and internal stakeholder needs, I champion creative strategy from concept through execution. I’m a natural team builder and mentor—empathetic, enthusiastic, and driven to elevate the work of those around me. I thrive on collaboration, helping shape the vision and direction of our creative output while ensuring it remains innovative, effective, and aligned with brand values. I have the privilege of managing an exceptional team of Art Directors, Senior Designers, Graphic Designers, UX Design and Creative Writing. Together, we craft marketing and promotional materials across print, digital, email, and corporate communications. I also provide creative direction and support to a broader network of designers, production artists, videographers, motion designers, and freelancers and partner agencies. At the heart of my work is a commitment to creative excellence, a love for the craft, and a belief in the power of design to inspire, inform, and drive results.
