About Michael Blechman

Michael Blechman is an arbitrator and mediator who has served as a neutral in numerous cases. He is on the international arbitration panel of the American Arbitration Association and serves as a court appointed mediator for the Southern District of New York and the Commercial Division of the NY Supreme Court for Westchester County. He is also a Special Master for the NY Appellate Division, First Department. As an attorney, Michael concentrates in the fields of litigation, antitrust and international law. Presently Special Counsel, he was a Partner at Kaye Scholer from1975 through 2010 and a member of its Executive Committee from 1996 to 2003. He has been lead counsel in a variety of litigations, arbitrations and other matters involving antitrust, international law, contract disputes and other matters. He has also represented and advised many US and foreign companies in connection with international mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, and has represented such companies before the Justice Department and the Federal Trade Commission. In addition, he has acted as a neutral arbitrator or mediator in a variety of international cases. Michael speaks and writes frequently in Europe and the US on international arbitration, ADR, antitrust, international litigation and arbitration and other subjects. He has been recognized by United States Lawyer Rankings as one of the top 10 antitrust attorneys in the United States. He has been ranked in Best Lawyers in America (2007-2015) for Antitrust Law.
