About Michael Bosteels

Commercial Engineer and Vlerick graduate, with almost 10 years of experience in project management in the head office of one of the largest Belgian banks. From my first day at KBC onwards, I was in a crucial project support role: secretary of the Markets Product Approval Committee. Here I came in contact with all the different departments and could I see from first hand why certain products and projects were approved, and why others weren’t. During these years in a support role I gradually evolved towards a full project lead role: starting with smaller self-created improvement projects, and ending in the lead of some of the largest projects in difficult circumstances: project lead on “preparing the KBC dealing room for a no-deal Brexit” and project lead on “Implementing Initial Margin”, one of the biggest upcoming challenges for the sector in many years. Additionally, in the last years I’ve been investing strongly in my soft skills competences to further improve my capabilities when interacting with the wide range of diverse stakeholders.
