As an Operations Analyst/Field Service Engineer specialising in water treatment chemistry, I work to ensure the optimal performance of water treatment systems at various customer sites, including petrochemical refineries, industrial manufacturing plants, and power stations. My role includes managing cooling tower chemistry, high-pressure boiler chemistry, and wastewater treatment. This involves adjusting chemical dosages and treatment protocols to optimise performance and extend the lifespan of customer assets. I regularly collect and analyse water samples, using the data to evaluate system performance and identify any issues. This analysis allows me to adjust chemical dosing and treatment programmes for corrosion control, scale inhibition, and microbiological control to meet the specific needs of each site. I am also responsible for monitoring and maintaining equipment such as chemical dosing pumps to ensure their efficient operation and adherence to regulatory standards. A key aspect of my role is communicating results and recommendations to customers. I prepare detailed reports on water quality data and treatment outcomes, translating complex technical information into clear, actionable insights. This helps clients understand the effectiveness of their treatment programmes and supports them in making informed decisions.
