About Michael Broustis

He has over 25 years of experience and a successful track record in concluding large scale financial transactions in the Energy Sector, resolving complex management, business, and strategic issues. In the period 1987-1990, he was an Associate Professor in the Technological Institutes of Chalkis and Athens. In the period 1991 – 2007, he was mainly involved in the implementation of financial transactions of Public Power Corporation (PPC),the optimization of its debt and fuel portfolio through derivative transactions, participating also in a variety of complex operational and strategic projects, including PPC’s IPO. In the period 2007- 2013, he was the Group Treasurer and Chief Accountant of PPC. Over the period 2013-2014, he was a General Manager of PPC, member of PPC’s Management Committee, as well as the Project Manager of the sale of IPTO to a strategic investor. Over the period 2014-2020, he was the CFO of HEDNO having also responsibilities in Health and Safety, Insurance, Facility Management, Real Estate, Supply Chain, Procurement, IT and HR issues. He was a BoD member of the Companies “Waste Syclo SA”, “PPC Finance plc”(also CEO),” IPTO S.A”( also VP of the Supervisory Body), “PPC Telecommunications” and member of the working groups “Enterprise Risk Management” and “Finance and Economics” of Eurelectric. He was a research associate in Energy issues of the Institute of Regional Development and member of the Research Team of Economics of the Environment and Sustainable Growth of the University of Social and Political Sciences (Panteion University) and a rapporteur in the “Account for Employment and Vocational Training” of Manpower Employment Organization Currently, he is a BoD member of: The Hellenic – Italian Chamber of Athens( https://italia.gr/) The Company “Euroconsultants”, listed in the Athens Stock Exchange The Public Entity “Hellenic Cadastre”, supervised by the Ministry of Digital Governance. https://mindigital.gr/.
