About Michael Bruers

Starting as an installer of HVAC systems for domestic porpuse at the young age of 19, i found my way into the construction and metal sector. Which set me on a path of many experiences, after learning the basics, i wanted more, finding my true passion in welding. Working for DV Hydraulics as a welder/mechanic, making several hydraulic pump systems and oil tanks, all for industrial applications, they gave me the opportunity to expand my skills in TIG-Welding, at Thomas Moore Campus De Nayer. Getting to know factories, processes and their installations, got me interested in getting to know it first hand, due to my interest in mechanics, i like to know how things, are made from zero. So the best way to learn is to do it myself. That's how i started my first experience with production lines at Atlas Copco, montaging compression elements, first for the oil injected section and later on when i was more advanced in the assembling skills and workings of compression, i applied for the Oil Free section at Atlas Copo Wilrijk. After acquiring more experience, about production processes and how the production flow works at a more bigger company, i went for something that was out of my comfort zone, going into the pharmaceutical world at Pfizer. Which means i took a leap of faith, and got to know a world full of administration and laws, next to the technical and practical side. here i learned the true importance of integrity and cautiousness that is needed to proceed in crucial and delicate tasks, working in grade B sterile environments, knowing that not everything is solved by force, but knowing when to think and act, in stressful and delicate situations and putting all your skills to the test.
