About Michael Burnett

I support customers drug discovery programs by providing quality preclinical GLP safety data for use in regulatory submissions. I assist Study Directors with planning and managing studies, performing surgery and behavioural experiments and analysing and presenting data. I love discussing how to provide the best study design, collecting accurate data and writing scientific documents to communicate results to clients and regulators. In previous roles, I gained Home Office Modules 1-4 (A-C) and developed a wide range of procedural and surgical skills, which I now utilise when performing in vivo experiments. I am proud to have developed and validated a Novel Object Recognition model whilst supporting CNS and DMPK studies. My goal is to work as a Study Director or Head of Department within Preclinical Safety Pharmacology and CNS. I will undertake a PhD in a relevant field and broaden skills into in vitro and ex vivo assays. Currently, I excited to gain further valuable experience within RenaSci and Sygnature Discovery.
