Although semi-retired, I have been a sessional teacher in Food Safety at Humber College, plus Occupational Health & Safety at the Ontario Tech University (University of Ontario Institute of Technology) and George Brown College. April 2017 I completed a long term contract with SSP Canada Food Services Inc at Toronto Pearson Airport, providing HR, Food Safety, Health & Safety, Training, Labour Relations, Security and other services to the operations with 27 restaurants. Previous experience includes - service in the Canadian Forces, followed by 15 years with Emergency Health Services for the Government of Ontario, moved from pick up and recovery into Safety and Prevention in 1995. Transition from Health & Safety into Food Safety between and 2002. Part of the team that kept the food safe during World Youth Day 2002, managed food services safety in health care during the SARS epidemic of 2002 and 2003, the SARS Concert in 2003 in Toronto, and various other large service events across Canada culminating with the Molson Canada Hockey House during the Winter Olympics of 2010 in Vancouver and then the G8 and G20 in the summer of 2010 in Ontario. In 2010 moved from the Food Service & Hospitality Industry into Retail with one of Canada's largest grocery chains, dealing with corporate and franchise locations, and various support functions such as marketing, purchasing, engineering and communications. Speaker and panelist at various safety related events since 1995. First Chairman of the Ontario Service Safety Alliance and member of various other boards in Ontario. Adult Educator in multiple safety related roles - First Aid, CPR, Emergency Health Services Management programs, Health & Safety and Food Safety.
