Michael Cade is a seasoned technology executive with over 20 years of experience helping organizations understand their data, secure it, and make it resilient at scale. He currently serves as Global Field CTO at Veeam Software, a leader in data protection and cyber resilience, enabling customers to ensure data is secure, recoverable, and available across hybrid, multi-cloud, and cloud-native environments.With a focus on data across physical, virtual, cloud, and cloud-native platforms—including Kubernetes—Michael works with customers to move beyond traditional backup, helping them build confidence in their data as a trusted foundation for resilience, business continuity, and AI-driven innovation.Prior to this role, Michael held various technical roles within Veeam joining in 2015 as a Systems Engineer and then moving to the product strategy team to focus on the wider Veeam strategy of creating content and sharing within the community. A big focus for Michael has been based on 3 things, Raising Awareness, Driving Adoption and showing the Art of the possible.As a Global Field CTO- Develop and implement the technical vision and strategy for the company's data management products- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in data management technology, and incorporate them into the company's product roadmap- Collaborate with the product management team to define and prioritize product features and enhancements- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the successful development and delivery of high-quality products- Act as a technical advisor to customers and partners, providing guidance and expertise on data management solutions- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop technical content and messaging for product marketing and sales collateral- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners and vendors to drive innovation and growth- Participate in industry conferences and events to represent the company and showcase its products.A lifelong learner who is always looking for ways to improve and grow both personally and professionally.
