My group and I carry out research in organic synthesis. We use organic catalysts to prepare enantiomerically enriched intermediates for the synthesis of biologically active natural and non-natural molecules. We have developed five such organo-catalytic, asymmetric reactions, and we have synthesized six natural products, the key portions of ten others, and a number of designed, drug-like molecules.
