I’ve been establishing processes for new tooling since the late 80’s. Ive brought hundreds of projects from concept to proven production. I’m familiar with many different types of pickers and robots. I’ve done training with Arburg, Van Dorn, Toshiba, RJG and Paulson.I completed the Paulson training program in the early and lately Scientific Molding through the Nautilus Program. I’ve logged over 1,200 Materials into its data base and sampled thousands of tools. I’ve worked in custom molding, medical, automotive, some aerospace and most recently the firearms industry. I approach every new opportunity scientifically. Doing the basics first injection pressure study, Viscosity curve, runner, gate and venting evaluation. Cavity balance with a short shot study, gate freeze off and flow pattern. Troublesome jobs get a full DOE evaluation. I prefer seeing a job accurately run through a mold flow analysis before even cutting steel!
