About Michael Cao

After graduating from UC Berkeley with a Cognitive Science degree, I have been working within the Healthcare industry focusing on developing and delivering SaaS oriented analytics. As a Product Owner, I help define user stories and document complex requirements for the scrum team to develop. I help create and maintain our payer product backlog while collaborating effectively with the scrum team and its Scrum Master. I work hand in hand with the team to provide optimal solutions and innovations to further our product's growth. I present our goals and roadmap while trying to garner feedback to help harden the product. Working alongside the scrum team, we explore the payer healthcare industry and its standards to get ahead of the curve while defining a future roadmap and transforming our product.Previously, as a Data Engineer, I worked heavily with ETL processes using Vertica and OLAP databases as well as developed SSRS reports. I engaged heavily in maintaining and verifying data integrity within databases. I worked with both Scrum Masters and Product Owners to understand the scope of work and optimize strategies for product development. I also worked with individual clients to help implement and support the utilization of our products. While working with Project Managers and Business Analysts, we were able to collectively provide clients with our payer product's platform while tailoring their experiences to meet their preferences and customized requests.
