In he received his BS degree with high honors in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University. Although very interested in the mechanical know-how that his degree had to offer, Mike was very interested in applying these skills to a health profession. Dentistry was a natural choice because it combined his love for hands-on work, knowledge of sciences, and the necessity for quality patient care. In 2005 Dr. Capio was accepted to his #1 choice, UCLA School of Dentistry. During his senior year he was one of ten students selected to treat patients in an accelerated program under the supervision of a renowned department chair. This unique opportunity multiplied his experience while learning many techniques and procedures in a smaller more advanced setting. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2009 and successfully passed all necessary license exams in one shot. Dr. Capio maintains a private practice in Los Angeles (Westchester LAX area) called Dental Solutions. In addition to private practice, Dr. Capio works part-time as a clinical instructor at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Within the Division of Restorative Dentistry he ensures that some of the nation’s finest dental students deliver quality comprehensive care to the public. Outside of his enthusiasm for dentistry, Dr. Capio enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
