About Michael Cappozzo

As the Director of Media Services for Strategia Consulting, I lean heavily on my twenty-two-year career in broadcast television—eighteen of which was spent in Chicago. The stories I’ve told and the contacts I’ve made are proof of my success. Pivoting to the position of Director of Media was not difficult for me since I was already doing the heavy lifting as a videographer, producer, and editor. After spending a TV lifetime telling stories, I now focus on our clients' stories. For much of my career, I’ve worked alongside the biggest sports stars and teams on the planet. Running in that environment was pressure-packed, but it also gave me confidence and experience that couldn't be matched. When you work with me, you’re getting a writer and producer who knows how to gather, organize, and distribute content on a deadline—I’ve never missed a deadline—years of working as a one-man band taught me how to become self-sufficient. Handling that last-minute deadline is my calling card. Although I’ve put the camera down and have taken off my reporter/producing hat, I still have the eye. I’m always thinking about how to be more creative with every client at Strategia. I’ve been lucky enough to cover the White Sox and Cubs winning the World Series and three Blackhawks Stanley Cup championships, and I consumed more junk food on the road than I’d like to admit! I’ve collaborated with colleagues on several award-winning stories. I’m proud to share local Emmy wins with my friend and CEO of Strategia, Lissa Druss. I am thrilled to be a part of one of our firm’s dedicated nonprofits, Our American Voice (OAV). Throughout Illinois, OAV provides scholarships and innovative educational programs promoting civic leadership and action, building communities, and advancing social justice through collaborations and partnerships that empower teachers and students in underserved communities.
