Senior Architect currently working on systems architecture with a focus on communicating how Solace can help solve large, modern problems. I also act as a Product Owner and Architect for low level embedded and real-time API features. Development experience includes applications in a variety of languages and platforms including full stack environments (Spring Boot, Javascript, SQL), high performance backend development (C++), API development (C, Java, Go), cloud technologies, and more (TypeScript, Bash, Python, Perl, Docker/PodMan, Kubernetes [incl. EKS, AKS, GKE], Jenkins, Github Actions, TravisCI, Linux). Expert in Event Driven Architecture. Always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow. In my current role, I help bridge the gap between product and field from an architectural perspective, including communicating how next-generation Event Driven Architecture can help solve real world problems. Responsibilities include supporting Sales Engineering through solution architecture activities, identifying and filling gaps in field knowledge through whitepapers and documentation, reanalyzing legacy positions and improving product offerings through a wholistic approach. I've also taken on Product Ownership roles in one of the most technically complex product areas, further illustrating my ability to manage large projects and communicate with stakeholders effectively. I'm also passionate about building a strong culture and community. Since 2022, I have been running engineering-wide hackathons at Solace, creating immeasurable value from team cohesion to innovations shipped as experimental immediately after the hacks. I'm also an active contributor to Solace company culture through social committee engagements. Graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Computer Science Honours with High Distinction, Minor in Mathematics, and Senate Medal for outstanding academic achievement. Current student at uOttawa for a Masters of Digital Transformation and Innovation.
