About Michael Carella

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Privacy at NJIT, building on my Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity from George Mason University. In addition to my formal education, I am actively preparing for the CompTIA CYSA+ certification to stack with my existing Security+ certification, with the goal of achieving the Security Analytics Professional designation from CompTIA. I am committed to advancing my skills in cybersecurity through practical training, utilizing platforms such as Hack The Box and Root Me to stay current with industry practices and challenges. I am eager to transition into a full-time role in the Cybersecurity/IT industry, leveraging my academic background and certifications to contribute effectively to my team. My hands-on experience has been built through rigorous coursework at school and practical training by industry-recognized certifications from CompTIA, I am developing a solid foundation in IT and Cybersecurity principles and best practices. My goal is to apply my knowledge in a professional setting, where I can grow my skills, tackle real-world challenges, and support an organization’s cybersecurity and IT teams.
