Background
About Michael Caron
Over fourteen years experience in the design, manufacture, quality control and sourcing of steel and concrete towers and raw materials for wind turbine generators. Well versed in all facets of tower (and turbine) technology built upon a very strong structural engineering background. Knowledgeable in Canadian, USA and European structural code requirements. Supply chain solutions include sourcing and project management of internationally manufactured components including familiarity with the logistics associated with delivery of product from origin to destination. Previous management and team building experience consists of technical and people management for a team of engineers focusing on the continued improvement of steel tower technology and broadening the development of concrete and alternative tower solutions worldwide for Vestas Wind Systems. After operating a year as an independent consultant, I am excited to be a part of Keystone Tower Systems to lead the implementation of manufacturing solutions and coordinate alternative tower designs with wind turbine manufacturers to take advantage of the benefits associated with a spirally welded tower configuration.
