About Michael Carter

My goal is to deliver marketing that leaves a measurable, positive mark - on my client's business, the mindset of its leadership, and the target markets it serves. I have proven leadership in marketing, communications, and operations and a track record of successfully establishing internal marketing practices with demonstrable ROIs globally. Typically I work with clients in two ways:1. As a fractional member of the management team.2. By supplementing leadership's skill set via strategic projects focusing on a) Market Intelligence (sizing, competitive landscape, segmentation, targeting, pricing), b) Brand management (brand identity, strategy, positioning, messaging) c) High-value content creation (proprietary research, sponsored/secondary assets, blog and social programming). My background is unique for a marketer, including serving as the senior executive for integrating acquisitions, chief operations officer tasks with turning around an unprofitable subsidiary, and being an executive team member during an IPO. There is a list of CEOs that can attest to my ability to build out or convert underperforming marketing practices into marketing practices that drive sales and power predictable growth. I have lived abroad and plied my trade in two dozen countries. At every stop along the way, the key has been to understand the "puzzle" in its simplest form and then find a solution built on an agile, repeatable, flexible, and authentic strategic foundation.
