My career has been driven by a commitment to empower vulnerable populations and create meaningful change. With extensive experience as a Comprehensive Community Planner at Bear River First Nation, I developed strategic plans and conducted community engagement sessions to address local needs. This role honed my skills in assessing eligibility for financial assistance, managing complex cases, and providing targeted employment support. In my role as Community Coordinator at Turning the Tide, I led initiatives to dismantle systemic barriers and mobilize community resources. By facilitating workshops and connecting individuals with essential resources, I built strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and achieved successful community outcomes. Most recently, as a Program Coordinator for Nova Scotia Works in Digby, I created and led a three-week employment preparation program with industry-specific training. I designed the Lifestyle-Centric Exploration model to align careers with personal goals and conducted regular feedback checks to ensure participant and employer success.
