About Michael Chen

I am a full stack developer focused on JavaScript, React.js, Redux.js, and Rails. My current main project is a pure JavaScript text editor that gamifies users' writing experience and efficiency. On the side, I am also developing my skill with Firebase and Flutter to further enhance my ability to make responsive apps across platforms. On a personal note, I am addicted to all kinds of story-telling. It’s my firm belief that even a good UI design is one of the many faces of story-telling. It not only subtly expresses the personality of the brand behind the app, it also helps the users to reach the information they seek. It’s the last mile between technology and reality. Additional Skills: Ruby - SQL - HTML5 - CSS3 - Webpack - jQuery - Sass - PostgreSQL. As a full-stack developer, I am thrilled to be able to build something that amplifies people’s ability to do more and reach more people. I have enjoyed using Ruby, JavaScript, React/Redux to make web apps that are responsive and interactive while learning Flutter. I am always looking for more tools under my belt.
