Public Service Medal recipient for outstanding public service to healthcare innovation improvement and reform in Dr Michael Cleary PSM has been awarded a 2016 Australia Day Achievement Medallion for ‘Outstanding contribution to the management of public health issues in the state of Queensland especially as a senior member in Queensland Cleary's was the Deputy Director-General, Health Service and Clinical Innovation Division, Queensland Health and is a recognised leader and health executive with over 30 years' experience. Dr Cleary has a proven record of significant achievement in a managing complex healthcare systems, health policy development, medical administration and emergency medicine and has demonstrated ongoing outstanding contributions to healthcare innovation, improvement and reform in Queensland. He understands the importance of engaging with staff at all levels of the organisation and with consumers of healthcare services.
