About Michael Coates

My experience over the last 25 years has been a mix of General Management, Business Development, and direct business ownership, having run my own highly successful businesses (ie namely Telstra Business Dealerships for 15 years), and the last 10 years in Small Business Finance. After returning to Melbourne in 2013-14 for family reasons, I exited the Telstra business and took the opportunity to work in the legal and finance sectors, ie with JHK Legal, Grow Finance, am currently working with Moneytech in their Small Business/Equipment Finance Division, whilst also keeping an eye out for opportunities in our Corporate and Commercial operations. Most recently, these roles have seen me succeed as a Business Development Manager, having demonstrated considerable success. This has been as a result of working extremely hard to build a significant network of Introducers, Referrers, and Commercial Brokers in the Commercial Finance market. Prior to this, I owned and operated our Telstra Dealerships which were multi Award Winning Business Dealerships with Head Office in based in Brisbane, and further offices in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide from through until 2012. During that period I also imported Antiques from France, together with my sister Cathie, and my wife Keryn – who sold our products via their retail outlet “Found in France” in Paddington, Qld.
