About Michael Colon

Michael Colon is a proficient and dependable Facilities Management Professional with over 15 years of construction, facilities management, and leadership experience. He possesses the technical and business acumen to drive customer success and corporate profitability. Mike has been with U.S. Facilities for more than eight years serving as the Assistant Project Manager and now Project Manager for The Salvation Army KROC Community Center in Camden, NJ. In that capacity he manages a SF community center with over 30 acres of land and is responsible for: • Development of maintenance procedures, ensuring implementation and report on daily activities • Support in the development and implementation of OHS policies and programs • Train new employees’ policies and procedures relate to their department • Coordinate with vendors, employees, local & state inspectors, and client to meet project expectations • Monitor and report on project budget and spending • Evaluate and identify challenges and utilize resources to solve problems • Collaborate with team members in planning the details of the upcoming project • Delegate daily tasks to staff to ensure the timely completion of projects and milestones • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary • Arrange for regular maintenance of equipment and internal systems (e.g, heating system, alarms) • Perform chemical analysis of swimming pool water daily and adjust water chemistry when needed • Maintain and repair filtration system to ensure cleanliness of commercial swimming pools • Ensure OSHA policies are complied with The KROC Center hosts more than visitors daily. The center includes indoor water parks, multi-lane pools, NCAA-regulation basketball courts, baseball fields, a rock wall, a chapel, performance stage, café, fitness centers, exercise studios, nursing facilities, childcare centers and more. Mike is a graduate of Nassau Community College for Business Management. He is a Certified Pool Operator.
