About Michael Commodore

As a passionate, diligent, and resilient individual, I am dedicated to advancing my expertise in the bottom-up construction of organic diradicaloids—compounds with unique properties, pivotal in applications such as transistors, spintronics, NIR detectors, sensors, batteries, magnetic materials, bioimaging, and biosensors. I am focused, analytical, and deeply committed to both the theoretical and experimental challenges of synthetic organic chemistry. My specialization lies in the peri-annulation cyclization of alkynes, facilitating the synthesis of symmetrical diketone, a novel class of chemical precursors for organic diradicaloids. I am also working on nitrogen-based diketones, graphene nanoribbons, and porous graphene, aiming to create materials with potential uses in molecular sieves, electronic devices, photovoltaic devices, OLEDs, molecular wires, and biosensors.
