About Michael Cook

My passion for the protection and health of the environment has led me to Sir Sandford Fleming College, School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences. This campus has given me experience in the monitoring and assessment of aquatic and terrestrial habitats, conducting resource inventories, environmental sampling, and developing plans for the management of public and private landscapes. This has given me the opportunity to learn and gain hands on experience in ecological land classification, wetland and stream assessments, water chemistry and biomonitoring of freshwater systems and many other monitoring and restoration activities. My developed leadership skills accompanied by my experience in aquatic research and monitoring, report writing and delivering informative presentations are all applicable and transferable to most environmental positions.
