About Michael Corio

Growing up in Central, Kentucky, I have always supported the University of Kentucky’s mission to expand knowledge. My educational background and diverse skill set gotten through internships and coursework, allows me to have confidence in my ability to contribute to this role. My most recent role as a Temporary Professional in the University of Kentucky Agricultural Programs has equipped me with valuable skills in interdisciplinary research, independent decision making, report management, record keeping, programming, and both travel and event coordination. Utilizing both quantitative and qualitative survey data, I have contributed to university research, displaying my ability to collect, analyze, multitask, and categorize information effectively. I had the opportunity to collaborate on a report on Extension Services presented at the 2023 Ky Water Research Institute Annual Symposium, inputting success stories, showing my commitment to academic engagement and communication, while highlighting my energetic personality. During my Extension Internship at the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, I managed day-to-day office operations, including the execution of goals and the creation of social media posts. This experience honed my organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for successful event coordination. Moreover, my responsibilities included research and keeping records of a needs assessment's survey data to ensure accuracy and confidentiality in analysis, supporting research while underscoring my commitment to the precision needed for the administrative functions associated with event planning. In both roles, I enhanced my evaluation skills, proved strong interpersonal skills, collaborated with diverse teams, and engaged in effective communication to support the successful execution of activities and goals. These positions highlighted my skills in problem solving. These experiences, coupled with my ability to multitask and attention to detail.
