His teams have optimized indirect & direct complex spend categories across multiple divisions with annual spend in excess of $15+ billion. He has deep experience transforming sourcing departments as a strategic lever for organizations to drive increased leverage in markets while achieving operational efficiencies and scale, as well as experience leading M&A transactions and integration efforts. By leading multi-national diverse teams via leadership roles in Asia, Michael has developed his cultural & leadership agility and passion for building teams. As Chief Procurement Officer for four years, he has demonstrated a strong foundation in risk and financial controls across the source-to-pay (S2P) value chain within the financial services and life sciences regulated environments. In addition to his leadership roles in industry, Michael’s sourcing advisory role at ISG and 10 years of management consulting at PwC has given him broad experience across pharmaceutical, financial services, high-tech, consumer health, animal health, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). He has led numerous organizations through transformation and change programs including procurement & enterprise shared services transformation, enabled by large scale system implementations, merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, and development of business and IT strategies.
