About Michael Crowley

The combination of my Master’s and Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering, along with my extensive teaching experience, uniquely qualifies me as both an educator and practitioner in math, science, and engineering. Over the years, I have cultivated unmatched skills in fostering a precise and sustainable understanding of fundamental and applied concepts in these disciplines, doing so both effectively and passionately. Beyond my expertise in teaching mathematics – from foundational topics like exponent laws, fractions, and algebra, to advanced subjects like calculus, physics, and engineering mechanics – I am deeply engaged in applying these concepts in real-world contexts. My experience spans advanced areas such as solid mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and kinematics, where I have directly worked on solving complex problems that bridge theory and practice. I love math, and I love the role it plays in the scientific framework of reality as the language of the universe. I love science and engineering, and the way they set out to use this language to understand the world around us and work toward building a better future. These passions drive not only my teaching but also my direct engagement in fields involving advanced problem-solving and innovation. I have yet to lose my genuine excitement for sharing and applying these passions every day. Most importantly, I know what it takes to be an outstanding communicator and educator. I excel at making the principles of math, physics, and engineering robustly intuitive as well as empowering others to develop the skills needed to become effective problem-solvers. Whether teaching or engaging in practical applications, I bring clarity and an enthusiastic commitment to excellence.
