About Michael Cunes

If you were to tell me that on my last day on earth, my working life had been dedicated to and successful in creating amazing experiences and treating every person I worked with like a human being, I would smile because my life's work would have been complete. This is where I find myself now and it will always be my professional pursuit. The obligatory summary of my background is that I have over 15 years of management experience in the ever exciting and evolving world of hospitality. I have managed multiple departments for social and co-working membership clubs including front line customer service, hotel management, security, engineering, housekeeping and valet. I have a demonstrated history of project management having oversaw office leases and construction, building maintenance, event planning, community outreach and retail management, just to name a few. However, beyond doing what is expected of the positions I have held, I thoroughly enjoy taking on these responsibilities and more importantly, actively involving the people that are in these departments to achieve our goals. I have always modeled a large part of my professional profile by the motto,"I am only as strong of a leader as the team around me". Every cog in the machine is vital and without one, it makes it that much harder for those around it to make the machine work. It is important for me that my team knows how important they are to me. I have spent several years perfecting these skills through taking HR Management courses, leadership training and workshops and simply taking heed whenever my staff has had any type of feedback. It is not enough that I only create memorable experiences for the businesses clients. It is also paramount for me to foster creativity in my team and to give them the support and tools they will need one day to be successful leaders themselves.
