Senior executive with broad investment banking, advisory, and public policy experience in government and the private sector. At the U.S. Department of the Treasury (2001-2006), I was one of the principal policymakers with responsibility for (i) federal credit policy, practices and programs;(ii) Government Sponsored Enterprises infrastructure finance;(iv) restructuring of federal and private sector entities;(v) solutions for market failures and crisis related programs;(vi) pension and post-retirement healthcare liability issues;(vii) financial government financial policy,(ix) postal reform issues, and (x) federal program and oversight boards. I had execution responsibility for structuring solutions and implementing policy for these initiatives. Separately, I served as a Senate confirmed Member of the Board of Directors for a banking GSE. During the 2008-2009 financial market crisis, I served as the principal advisor to the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for financial crisis issues. This included the Chairman’s responsibilities on the Financial Stability Oversight Board and the Federal Housing Finance Oversight Board (the conservatorships of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.) In the private sector, I have served as an advisor and investment banker to clients for (i) housing finance reform and GSE reform;(ii) infrastructure federal credit for private sector entities;(iv) capital and funding for GSEs;(v) restructurings;(vi) federal strategy for foreign M&A of U.S. firms;(vii) risk corporate development and strategy; and (ix) federal finance and budget issues. I am highly skilled at connecting the dots needed to deliver solutions for complex issues and transactions between the government and the private sector, with expertise in diverse sectors including housing finance, GSEs, financial institutions, federal credit and capital, energy, airlines and infrastructure.
