About Michael Daversa

My passion for data analytics stems from my natural curiosity about the world. Halfway through my college career, I changed my major to information systems, and the second I sat down in my first Python class, a spark was lit. My new obsession allowed me to be everything I love at once: a programmer, problem solver, change leader, statistician, and project manager wrapped up in a neat—if not vaguely defined.package. As a full-time student at Stonehill College, I maintained multiple high-level responsibilities, including a Power BI consulting contract and two terms as Stonehill SGA's Executive Treasurer. Managing a budget of over half a million dollars while producing post-grad level visualizations was not easy, but it was rewarding enough to make up for it. I've pushed past my limits and prepared myself for anything that life might throw my way. As my career in data analytics begins to take shape, I look forward to creating analytics products which are as informative as they are robust & beautiful. My specialties involve quickly learning & applying new analytical concepts, collecting & cleaning data, querying databases & creating visualizations. I have credentialed experience with Microsoft Power BI, using Power Query to transform tabular data, and writing measures & calculations using DAX. I'm also proficient in SQL, Python and SAS Studio & Enterprise miner/guide.
