I recently authored a book:"3D Printing Techniques and Processes," a beginner's translation guide to these technologies, as well as related professions and fields. I am currently a resident artist at Buffalo Arts Studio; I am also proud to be the CEO of S.C. Degnan Consultants, LLC, a family-owned company. I transitioned the business from expertise-based single proprietor to a growing business. Our company has offered and continues to offer claims filtration and consultant services for Medicaid billing for special education for school districts. S.C. Degnan Consultants now also offers transcription and data entry services. My background began in fine art, and led to: medical illustration; craniofacial prosthetics; 3D technology; business entrepreneurship; fine art that incorporates concepts from the aforementioned scientific areas. My art practice includes abstract and figurative art, including pen and ink on paper, 3D printing, and oil painting. Specialties: Anaplastology, craniofacial prosthetics, facial prosthetics, artificial eyes, artificial silicone features, medical devices, biomaterials and digital technologies (spectrophotometry, color formulation) for customized prosthetics, quality control using dimensional metrology, 3D scanning, and 3D printing, medical sculpture, medical illustration; Fine Art Specialties: digital and traditional (Atelier) drawing, painting, sculpture, installation design, and digital photography.
