About Michael Delciello

I've spearheaded strategic TMT business models and partnerships that drive multibillions of dollars in revenue. I've influenced internal senior executives and our partners at the world's top media and tech companies to capitalize on emerging technologies and realize first-of-their-kind products and initiatives. I initially joined the innovation arm of Comcast to helm business development and execute the vision for the launch of X1 which disrupted the cable industry. We were the first cable company to bring OTT streaming apps to the X1 set-top box—including Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube—kicking off a trend that has continued for more than a decade. REFRAMING THINKING TO CREATE SUSTAINABLE OUTCOMES I'm proud of the positive industry-wide reputation my team has earned with companies like Amazon and YouTube calling us the best team with whom they've ever negotiated—on deals that have been featured as case studies and garnered significant publicity. I aim for long-term partnerships that will help us continue to succeed and scale. I've often bridged gaps in agreements with other parties and resistance to change by illuminating the benefits of a forward-looking approach. We’ve never had to go back and clean up a deal because we think through the details of how they will be operationalized and also position for the renewal cycle several years out. I also believe in soliciting ideas and perspectives from junior team members, stemming from the foundation gained in my early career at McKinsey. KNOWING HOW THINGS WORK I majored in electrical engineering in college because I like to know the complex, technical aspects of how things work and later earned my MBA from MIT. I now mentor my team to be prepared with a hands-on understanding of the products and all sides of issues. When I’m asked for time to suggest ways to structure or pitch things that will be palatable to partners, I’m told that it saves my colleagues a lot of time. I enjoy completely new learning experiences that require total focus, and I earned my pilot’s license in 2018.
