About Michael Desmond

Michael joined Procyon following the merger with Pivotal Planning Group, LLC in 2021. He brings to the firm extensive knowledge in all areas of retirement planning and investment management. His experience as a business consultant has proven invaluable to business owners facing the challenges of growing, operating and transferring their businesses. Michael is also a member of Procyon’s investment committee. By earning the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) professional designation, he has received formal training in investment fiduciary due diligence and responsibility. The AIF® designation is awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies associated with the University of Pittsburgh. Michael is also a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association and earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation from the Wharton School of Business. His multiple degrees and experience help the firm’s Investment Policy Committee research new investment opportunities. Michael received an MBA in Banking and Finance, graduating summa cum laude from Dowling College and is a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Finance Honor Society. He resides on Long Island with his wife and their two daughters.
