I am an M.B.A-educated controller with 20 years of experience directing financial operations in the nonprofit sector and health care industry. It is my constant goal to gather and distill data for use by decision makers in forecasting and strategic planning. As an opponent of waste and redundancy, I am also a proponent of developing best practices and seeking out opportunities to streamline processes and eliminate manual tasks. I have had measurable success in cutting costs, reducing head count, and eliminating chances for the introduction of errors by automating processes. Whether I am working with a C-level executive or the lowest-level accounting team member, I strive to make jobs easier and more effective through good information and procedures. Another advantage is my ability to bring disparate areas of a company or organization together to work toward a common goal. Change is challenging, but I am able to gain buy-in for new processes or ideas across functional areas. I am a strong leader who works alongside my team members to serve as a resource and strong example, while providing guidance and development as a subject matter expert.
