About Michael Dion

Having grown up in a globally cultured household with family members who worked at the United Nations and European Union, I developed a passion for international relations and cross-cultural collaboration from an early age. This inspired me to pursue studies focused on international relations, sustainability, development, and environmental policy at the University of Michigan and the University of Sussex, where I have obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree, respectively. My academic training, complemented by internships with PeaceBoat US, provided me exposure to project management, policy analysis, and enacting data-driven solutions. As an aspiring international sustainability professional, my goal is to establish a career that allows me to marry my interests in international relations, environmental policy, and sustainable development. I am eager to apply my bilingual abilities in English and Spanish, as well as my analytical thinking, leadership, and communication skills to further development goals and create positive systemic change. My diverse intercultural experiences spanning Chile, the US, and the UK enable me to build global connections and drive innovation. With my Master's studies now complete, I am searching for opportunities to utilize my international perspective and academic training as a sustainability specialist, project manager or policy analyst. I am driven to enable environmentally-conscious decision making and establish a career where I can use my strengths to create a lasting positive impact.
