About Michael Duff

With more than 15 years of experience in public service Michael has an extensive knowledge of government, having been a Shire Councillor in a regional local council and also working in State and Federal Government. Michael was previously a Director on the Board of Professional Engineers as a non-engineering/ community representative having served from July 2013 to June 2016. Michael previously worked for civil construction company BMD as the Business Development Manager for Queensland and the Northern Territory. He also worked previously for engineering consultancy GHD and civil construction industry advocates, the Civil Contractors Federation. Michael has extensive experience in business management and has been a Director in a family agribusiness company for more than 20 years. Michael has a strong involvement in community organisations both in regional and metropolitan Queensland. Michael’s contribution includes Agricultural Show Societies, Sporting Associations, Infrastructure and Development groups, Family advocacy groups and he has been a trustee for the Committee of Economic Development of Australia. In 2015 Michael completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course. He is looking for diverse opportunities in Board positions to find a real challenge
