I am an audit, tax and accounting professional with a committed focus on client or customer relationships as well as staff development. To meet that commitment, my strengths include but are not limited to; an extensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for entities of all types with research abilities as may be needed; writing and speech skills to communicate and report effectively to clients, customers and staff; an understanding of the Internal Revenue Service tax code that allows me to work effectively and efficiently in any income tax software on the market with very little training when that software is unfamiliar to me; an extreme set of skills with Microsoft Excel formulas and an understanding of database management to produce work products quickly, completely and accurately; organization skills to track work in a logical and understandable manner while providing easier supervisory review; an extensive understanding of generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and governmental auditing standards (GAGAS) that, for example, allows me to develop techniques for alternative audit procedures when the more straight forward or standard approach is not feasible; and a keen understanding of the risks associated with any financial task that enables me to advise the client, customer or staff of any exposure to be considered.
