Currently I am working in a fast paced International shipping department at Quidel. This involves all aspects of the incoming, QC, Put-away, Pull, Stage and delivery of the materials side of manufacturing and once completed on to the International distribution of Medical devices and supported related materials. I use LN, JDE, iProcuerment as well as all the Office products (Excel, Word.)My work in both the Startup company of Immunonotics and the Clinical Department with Beckman Coulter has been the most rewarding job I have ever had. I was able to establish a working warehouse of both Raw materials and Patient samples for multiple studies. I purchased the required materials and helped in the design of the “Kits” that were sent to the clinics and labs around the world. I standardized the kit materials whenever possible to save time, money and space required for staging of those materials.This included everything from the baggies, tubes, labels, design of the barcode label information and the actual design/building and labeling of these kits. I would work with and then prepare the site coordinators with the items they needed to carry out our study. Working closely with the sites to determine the intervals of needed materials, kits, coolers for returning samples, paperwork/materials needed for shipping. Once I received the samples from the sites I would scan into our inventory along with internal box location-cane-rack-shelf-freezer ID.I would order needed reagents for site testing and ship required patient samples to those study sites.I was included in the startup processes of new studies and was valued for my knowledge and participation.I am Citi trained and can Consent study participants. I am well versed in HIPPA laws. I am First aid/CPR trained. I am hazmat trained. Forklift certified with experience on many different types of warehouse lift devices. I am trained in Pipetting, Centrifuge, and have worked in Class 2 labs. I have all the required Lab safety trainingI was the “go to guy” at both SONY and Beckman, able to come up with solutions and innovative solutions for just about anything.I am valued for my experience with inventories and shipping solutions. I work well with everyone and felt truly appreciated for my dedication and work. My goal is to stay in this type of work as I find it rewarding and important.
