I am an educator and biochemist passionate about drug discovery and metabolism and am experienced with specialized equipment and techniques such as Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS), Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) including Electrospray Ionization (ESI-MS) and Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization-Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-MS). I also have experience with Gas Chromatograph – Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), two dimensional Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), and Infrared Spectroscopy (IR). I currently work in a University lab setting with research projects focused on peptide drug design and metabolism and teaches Biochemistry, immunology, cancer therapeutics, and special topics related to Cytochrome P450 mediated metabolism and peptide based drug discovery. My hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, camping, traveling, and sampling local cuisine.
