I am an outstanding legal practitioner with impressive practical experience in legal & contract drafting, compliance, legal advisory, litigation, and debt recovery. My legal career trajectory simultaneously boasts versatility and dexterity with records of laudable feats. On this note, I can rightly say that I carved a niche for myself in the legal aspect of the Nigerian banking & finance sector. It is also delightful to mention that I have a robust legal education with an LLM from the University of Benin. I also recently enrolled in an online course in commercial law. In my previous role as a Legal Manager at First Bank of Nigeria, I drafted agreements/documentation for the (Five Hundred Million Naira) Non-Recourse Receivable Finance Facility by the bank to Sharp Stone Company Limited. I also reviewed loan documentation on SmartMicro Ltd and escalated the loopholes & irregularities to the Management. This led to an internal investigation that revealed a fraud of over Eleven billion Naira (N11 billion). In addition, I provided legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of corporate issues like compliance, commercial arrangements, and contracting models. In a previous role as a Junior Associate at Udo Udoma & Bello-Osagie, I was part of the team that conducted a legal audit for the then Oceanic Bank Plc that led to the successful sale of their primary share issue. Again, I participated in the legal due diligence for a telecommunications company, Vmobile Nig. Limited, as a prelude for acquisition and scheme of arrangement. I possess an impressive skill set that has helped me consistently deliver excellent legal service. It includes effective communication, analytical & research skills, and people management. I can also review legal processes and serve as a bridge between the firm and the general public. In terms of professional affiliations, I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Financial and Investments Analysts, Nigeria (CIFIAN).
