About Michael Farrell

I've spent my professional life in many different roles within the financial services industry, with the past 8 years spent in Maritime Super's Stakeholder Relationships team. This has been one of my most enjoyable and successful roles, however due to Maritime Super's recent merger with Hostplus, I'm now looking for my next challenge. During my time with Maritime Super I've enjoyed building many strong relationships and indeed friendships with colleagues, as well as with members, key employer contacts and Maritime Union elected officials and delegates. My role saw me as the key contact point between our administration team and our key employer contacts due to my knowledge of our Trust Deed and membership categories, whilst also maximising face to face member engagement through regular visits to employer sites and attendance at monthly Maritime Union delegate meetings. Member engagement was further enhanced through our outbound call programs to specific groups of members, as well as marking membership milestones with personal calls to members. In roles with previous employers within the superannuation environment I've led high-performing client retention and client service teams, always working to create an environment in which my team members could thrive.
