About Michael Fons

Michael A. Fons is a all-around developer, most recently with Flutter and microservices, and pursuing opportunities to some day live and work in another country. He is a web, Java and Flutter developer who lives in Denver, CO. Michael has spent the last 18 years focusing on web development technologies like AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Google Polymer, REST, SOA, Java/JavaEE, and others. Of late (7/20) he has presented on Google Polymer/3 to Denver's Google Developer Group meetup in 2018 and has been working on Polymer with Firebase and Redux on a PWA (Progressive Web App) project, where he is building this app offline first using Polymer/3. He is also working as web developer using AngularJS (1.5.9), JavaScript, JQuery, WebSockets, REST, EJB, JPA, Struts/2, and Oracle. He has also recently worked at an Agile/Kanban shop for 6 years developing web software using REST, SOA, ADF/JSF, SQL/PLSQL, Activiti, AlFresco, and many other technologies and IDE's. For his ongoing education, he has chosen in the last few years to read specs (like those from MDN), Udacity (Service Worker course), studying YouTube videos from ChromeDeveloper Conference and Polymer Summit, and a Coursera course in Scala. He attended No Fluff Just Stuff 2015. He presented at Oracle Open World 2009 on the subject of JSF Custom Components, and also presented in the Virginia area at NoVAJUG, a local Java User's Group. Throughout his career Michael has contributed to public technical forums and organizations and has presented many times in Denver, CO at RMOUG Training Days. He has also worked with ODTUG in the past as a editor/columnist for their technical journal.
