About Michael Forde

Head of Office and Policy Advisor to MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú in the European Parliament, where I lead the Brussels team and coordinate strategic, legislative, and political priorities. My work spans policy research, parliamentary negotiations, stakeholder engagement, and cross-office alignment between Brussels and the constituency. Previously, I managed external stakeholder engagement for the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE Party), a pan-European political party. In this role, I tracked policy developments and coordinated engagement with liberal political organisations, advocacy groups, corporate actors, and associations at European and international level. Before Brussels, I worked in the Space sector in Business Development, Commercialisation, and R&D coordination. I am skilled at understanding a wide range of innovation from a technology and impact perspective, and can facilitate dialogue between technical and non-technical audiences.
