About Michael Freeman

Mr. Freeman has experience in green building and sustainability planning, demand-side management/energy efficiency, and financial analysis. He also has extensive experience in renewable energy development, including agricultural biomass projects, wind energy, and solar energy project analysis. Mr. Freeman's specific project development experience includes; power contracting (PPA origination), fuel supply (biomass contracting), facility site selection, zoning/permitting and other project development related real estate issues. He has successfully worked with state, county and local economic development and elected officials to identify project sites, obtain community support, and property tax relief from host communities. Mr. Freeman has lobbied legislators at the state and federal level regarding renewable energy policy in support of projects under development Mr. Freeman has also supported several project financing through financial modelling and cash-flow analysis and participated in debt/equity raising for renewable energy projects. Mr. Freeman is also an experienced waste management professional proficient in pollution prevention, recycling, and waste-to-energy feasibility analysis.
