A seasoned forensic computing specialist with nearly a decades experience working in both commercial and law enforcement roles. Certified IACIS Advanced Windows Forensic Examiner & Forensic Computing Examiner. Extensive experience working independently or leading small units of specialists within larger investigation teams (for periods ranging from weeks to years) providing electronic evidence planning, searching, seizure, processing, managing reviews and compiling reports. Expertise in locating and acquiring data from enterprise infrastructure and systems, including commercial cloud data services and personal data caches based upon experience working with enterprise, corporate and government environments. Advanced knowledge working with and training investigators to use forensic products from Nuix, X-Ways Forensic, Cellebrite, Blacklight, Sumuri, Magnet Forensic, GetData, FTK and FEC. A key strength is my ability to negotiate with investigators in a relaxed non-technical manner to understand what information they are seeking and then advising of sources of electronic evidence such as cloud / social data, enterprise solutions, mobile and general computing devices. Regularly develop efficient workflows for the processing and review of extensive datasets specifically relating to unique investigation requirements, as well as managing projects invested in improving accessibility for investigators; tasks included researching & testing software applications, planning and designing the required infrastructure, developing training and guidance materials and finally developing processes for use by forensic analysts and investigators. Achieved a Masters in Digital Forensics including researching and presenting a number of papers at the 7th Australian Digital Forensics Conference. Previous expertise in IT security consulting specialising in governance and the construction of policy and procedures, security functionality testing of products by well-known software and hardware vendors, and assurance of security infrastructure in a multi-national financial institution. Experienced teacher (DipEd- Secondary) and trainer, with a confident capability working in stressful environments including effective time management, incident mediation and excellent communication skills.
