About Michael Gall

I need to update this, but here's a decent enough, albeit outdated, story.// In 2007, I began my college career pursuing an information technology degree at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL. I learned much about workstation support, printer support, network configuration and support, Windows and Linux server support and configuration, hardware and software troubleshooting, documentation, network scripting, network analysis with sniffers like Wireshark. I worked closely with Cisco routers and switches while completing the Cisco Network Academy. All of my courses were derived from certification courses like A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, and CCNA. In 2008, I obtained my Associates of Applied Sciences in Network Services Technology. In August of 2008, I returned home and began doing freelance IT work for friends and family in order to pay the bills. Most of my tasks ranged from entertainment center installation, malware removal, home network configuration, desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting, and other tasks that would be required of a technician. I decided to expand my business by posting Craig's List adds and ended up gaining clientele ranging from other home users all the way up to small businesses looking for someone to come in to the offices on a weekly basis to ensure the systems were running as expected. In 2010, I decided to return to school and gain my Bachelor's degree at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Here, I became knowledgeable of network services and technologies (i.e. Advanced Convergent Technologies: VoIP, Wireless, Video, VoIP/Video over Wireless, QoS, etc; Security Policies, Procedures, Best Practices; Business Operations for IT Solutions (and the inverse; IT Operations for Business Personnel); Information Technology Best Practices (such as ITIL, ISO and the like)). In 2013, I completed the program and received my BAS in Computer Systems and Telecommunications. In May of 2013, I began working for Apple as an iOS Technical Support Advisor and have been doing so ever since with fervor and joy.
