Well, blogs focus more on content; ie, ‘Here’s my favorite summer destination.’ Or ‘10 Ways to Lose Weight’ Whereas emails focus on connecting with people more deeply. They’re concerned with forming relationships with people on the other end which will ultimately increase sales. Let me explain. You take any emails you’re signed up to, and it’ll be the ones who talk about their experiences and share stories that’ll interest you the most… indeed, that you can relate to the most. For example, I’m signed up to one particular fellow now and I already know he was once in the French Foreign Legion and ran away from it, lived in America for 8 years, learned fencing, got married, etc. He has a unique past which gives him material to write about in a highly personal and nuanced way that AI just can’t do. In other words, I know the person on the other end is a real human being. I know that he has a German Shepherd who's scared of cats, likes to watch old black and white noir movies, and drives an old green Toyota that he sometimes has to push down a hill to start in the morning.
