Geotechnical engineer with 15 years of experience currently registered with APEGBC as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). I have experience in a variety of engineering projects, major rural and urban highway projects, tunnels, power stations, transmission lines, industrial projects, and commercial and residential developments. In my current role I am focused on roads and highways including capital works for new roads and structures, maintenance, and repair. I have experience and knowledge of geotechnical and civil engineering for deep and shallow foundations, retaining walls, tunnels, slope stability, and settlement analysis. I have undertaken project management for multi-discipline projects including teams in multiple offices and supervised complex, multiple team site investigations. I contract and manage consultants to undertake geotechnical investigation and design. I have provided training, guidance and mentoring of junior engineering staff. Planning and preparation for the safe execution of fieldwork, including high risk work involving confined spaces, potential gas hazards, and working at heights. Preparation and review of proposals, reports, and project documentation. I have put out requests for qualifications and proposals, and been on evaluation teams for statements of qualifications and proposals. Proficiency in various industry-standard software applications including Slope/W, Slide, Dips, LPile, and gINT.
